An excellent shopping list starts with a good MEAL PLAN and a good meal plan is built with the knowledge of the balanced SINGLE PLATE.
Let’s take a quick review of the rules of the balanced single dish :
- it must contain all 3 macronutrients: CARBOHYDRATES, PROTEINS, AND FATS.
- presence of vegetables (cooked or raw)
- just eat that, don’t go to the pantry or the fridge to nibble on anything else.
- give an aesthetic sense to the dish, you must visually like what you eat. Photograph all the dishes you prepare and publish them on social networks with the hashtag #dietfulness
- feel satisfied and delighted with the dish you eat, this will allow you to eat it slowly and enjoy it and you will avoid the concrete mixer effect!

Here is the vision of a weekly planner. I divided the endless week into cubes and we have: 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, and 7 dinners, plus there is a box for extras (snacks, snacks, etc.)
Each cube must contain a complete meal as I described above.
I’ll give you some examples: Wednesday evening at my house is PIZZA DAY, so in the Wednesday dinner box I enter “pizza”.
3 times a week I go to work out in the gym at lunchtime, when I come back at 3 pm I eat, I know that those 3 lunches must be nice and rich in carbohydrates ( to build muscles and to speed up the metabolism), so I will create meals that include many carbohydrates with proteins and fats.
On other days you may prefer fish, legumes, new recipes. Help yourself with the internet to look for new recipes!
You don’t have to fill in all the boxes, there will be those days when you will eat out or you will be invited. If you know you have dinner on Saturdays, leave it blank in the square.

I don’t go to the super with a skimpy piece of paper but with my beautiful diary/planner.
This is it! On one side is the planner and on the other is the sheet to write the list. Going to the supermarket with her makes me feel super hot, I don’t feel poor, I feel ……. yes, I feel the author of DietFulness!
